We have many traditions in our family and one of my favorite centers around our tree skirt. We started this in 2001 after I read the idea in a magazine. I made the skirt and every year we paint the kids hands and they put their hands on the skirt. I label the year and their age next to their hand. It has been really fun to see how big their hands have grown over the last 6 years. Here are some photos of this years tree skirt hand painting.

This photo shows the first hands compared with this years hands. Vinny's 2007 hand is in the dark green and Mitchell's 2001 hand is in the silver.
