Our Master Bedroom is finally finished! It has actually been finished for a couple of weeks now; I just now got around to taking photos of it. Below is the before photo.
The walls were a baby poop yellow/green, you know the kind, like when the baby eats squash and peas. The windows along with the rest of the downstairs had metal blinds, YUK! Here is what it looks like now.
The walls are painted Rhino from Behr. Charlie does not like a head board so I made the art work above the bed pictured below. I simply bought four artist canvas' and painted them with Gesso then painted them white. I then painted a branch across them with some flowers, and glued ribbon around the edges. They just did not seem finished so I started painting birds. Now, it is very important that I mention that I cannot paint. I had prayed to Charlie's mother the night before asking for her guidance on this project. She was there helping me because suddenly I had four birds that actually look like birds and I cannot even paint a circle.
I had these frames in Salt Lake with a different color mat and frame. I painted the frames and covered the mats in cardstock and stamped a tree branch in white ink very lightly and took new photos of the kids. I will change the photos every year.
Here is the window facing east with the new accordion blinds and brown curtains. The dressers, nightstands, and Charlie's chair are from IKEA in Atlanta. The cedar chest below was given to me by my father for my 16th birthday. This door is to our closet which has yet to be painted.
This is Charlie's reading chair. I bought the lamp at Target. The curtains were not quite as long as I wanted so I sewed a strip of material on the bottoms and also made a couple of pillows. The bench is from Walmart and stores our linens.
This is my dresser with a photo of Vinny waiting to be hung.
And the north facing window with a better view of the curtains. We love the room! It is very peaceful and serene. Next up is our bathroom and then our closet but not until after New Years. I have decided to take the rest of the year off.

Beautiful room, Shaun. It's very sleek and Candice Olsen-like. I love it. All the colors complement each other. Fabulous job!!!
