THE BEES KNEES

Vinny has been battling with a bad knee for about 5 months. The MRI showed a small Miniscus tear and Plicka Syndrome. Plicka is scar tissue that usually goes away before you are born. Sometimes it does not go away and becomes inflammed. When therapy and medication does not work, surgery is needed. So, on November 22, she had her day.
We had to be there at 6 so we are all a little tired.

Just before they took her back. She was nervous. I was a total wreck.
An hour later, she was in recovery. No miniscus tear which was great news. They straightened up her knee cap and removed the plicka.

We were home by 11 and Lucas came over around 1 and spent a few hours with her.

Later that night, a few of her girlfriends stopped by bearing gifts. Movies, magazines and candy.

On Monday, she was allowed to remove the dressing and take a shower!

And on Tuesday the stitches came out and she almost fainted. She did faint on Sunday. Scared us all to death!

Then she helped me with the Thanksgiving Day shopping.

And a few more friends stopped by Tuesday. She is back in school and started physical therapy yesterday. She should be fine in time to play lacrosse in February. Thank you all for your prayers!
