ADAMSON KNEES

Most of my family suffer from bad knees. I have prayed that my kids would not suffer from this curse. About 4 or 5 months ago, Vinny started to complain about her right knee. Vinny is a pretty tough young lady who rarely complains. She is a lacrosse player after all and is used to being hit with a lacrosse stick.

We went to the doctor, xrays normal. Started physical therapy, tried anti-imflamatory drugs, and nothing worked. MRI done a few weeks ago showed Plicka syndrome which is inflamation of the Plicka and a possible small miniscus tear. We prayed and prayed about surgery. She decided to give it a go now so that she would be ready for the season. Yesterday was the day. One of the hardest days of my life. Giving my baby girl over to strangers to have her put to sleep. Well, not total strangers since we have spent some time at this clinic. I of course took a few photos.
Still beautiful!

Almost time. Due to her extreme fear of needles, they took her back, gassed her, then put her IV in. Big relief for her. She was very nervous and I was holding back tears that I let go of once I was in the waiting room.
The surgery took about 45 minutes. Her miniscus was intact and her plicka was worse thant suspected so they just removed it. We arrived at 6am and were home by 10.

Lucas came over that afternoon for a couple of hours.

A few of her friends stopped by with movies, magazines, soda, and candy. Our neighbors brought her goodies and so did some other friends. She was simply showered with love.

Just a sample of her goodies. She will be on crutches for 3-4 days and therapy starts on the Monday after Thanksgiving.
Now she has a beautiful yellow leg and foot.

Thank you for all of your prayers!
