SALT LAKE, YOUR ROADS ARE SAFE.

South Carolina, watch out!  Yes, my baby received his learner's permit on my birthday.  What does this mean? In South Carolina you must have a learner's permit for 180 days (must pass the written test)  and can only drive with a licensed adult in the car.  He can also not drive after 8:00 pm.  After 180 days he takes a new test for a restricted license.  This means he can drive without an licensed adult in the car, can only have two teenagers in the car with him, and still may not drive after 8:00 pm.

Here's Patrick showing off his new learner's permit.

We took our time getting Patrick to the DMV due to his grades. We did not see the sense of getting his license when he won't be able to drive without insurance which without better grades, we cannot afford. I am praying that he does well this semester so he can get his real license soon after his restricted license. I am looking forward to having someone to run errands for me.  Believe it not, he is a very good driver. He must take after his mother.
