Well, Christmas morning came and Santa was not angry that we did not leave him any cookies. We were out so we left him a graham cracker. Below is the note that Vinny left him and his response to her. Be prepared lots of photos, it was hard to narrow it down to the few that I did. We had a great day and I hope you will enjoy our photos and commentary.
Our new piano which was an early Christmas present where Santa left the stockings.
The tree the with the presents.
Mr. Creative aka Charlie decided instead of using name tags he would use post it notes with the every one's birth months. He did not tell the kids what the numbers were and they never did figure it out. We finally told them Christmas morning. Only those presents from Santa had real name tags on them.
One more tradition, the sheet. This sheet actually extended across the entire stairwell and the idea is to keep the kids from peeking. It was tricky this year since we put the tree down stairs and Patrick's room is upstairs and Mitchell's and Vinny's rooms are downstairs. I did not trust them so I made them all sleep upstairs where we could hear them if they tried to sneak a peek. The other thing I do is make them take turns opening presents. I hate having to wait all year for Christmas and then have it over in 10 minutes. So, we all take turns and that way it lasts about an hour.
They were good and slept until 8:45 and had to wake me at 9:00. Here they come down the stairs. I made Mitchell go first so they would have to go slow!
All Vinny asked for was Littlest Pet Shop items, a locket, and a Webkinz. Here she is opening her big gift from Santa which is her Littlest Pet Shop town.
All the boys wanted was a PS 2 with Guitar Hero. Here is the PS 2 part.
All I wanted was a Willow Tree to add to my collection. This is the "Courage" Willow Tree. The tag read, "to the most courageous woman I know" Charlie is so amazing.
Charlie does not want anything but his old mouse pad was looking pretty thin so we had a new one made.
Here are the boys with Guitar Hero 3 which they were not expecting. I love surprises!
Patrick gets the Guiness book of World Records book every year.
An Miss Vinny loved her heart shaped locket with her name engraved.
Charlie was surprised by his red baron snoopy pajama bottoms.
And I was just a little surprised and excited by Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0
Mitchell and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie.
Patrick and Tony Hawke's Proving Ground for PS 2
My favorite present was a beautiful picture that Vinny made for me.
Charlie received a new coffee cup with the kids photo on it.
More Littlest Pet Shops toys.
Patrick's plaid flannel hunting jacket, no he won't be hunting, they are just the cool thing to wear. Mitchell received a red one.
Mitchell is my artist and got so excited over a portfolio, art paper and colored pencils.
He also wanted a Webkinz, here is Milo, his new Pug. We pick names in our little family and I was his secret Santa. I scored some points on this one.
Mitchell was Vinny's secret Santa and got her the Racoon Webkinz.
Here is how excited she was! Gotta love sibling hugs!
I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas as much as we did!

Wow - looks like you all are having so much fun in your new home. What a beautiful family. I can't believe how much Vinny looks like you Shaun! She is so beautiful! I love all your pictures of the kids. It should be so special to them that you are diligent in taking photos. One day they will appreciate that, if they don't already. I am sorry to hear that your treatments have been so hard! You are in my prayers. And did I mention dreams too? I had a dream about the whole family a couple of nights ago. Everybody was sitting around a river and when I showed up I was surprised to see the entire Adamson family sitting around it. When I saw you I ran to you and we embraced. I started to cry and told you how much I missed you! Your kids had gifts for me. I can't remember what it was that Vinny and Mitch gave me but I do remember that Patricks gift was an, onion! Strange huh? I wonder what that means. Anyway - I do miss you all so much! Savanna and I have been sick with colds - so now that I am house bound I will try to write again soon! hugs and kisses - Amber!
