The rec room is completed!

The rec room is finally finished! The reason I am so excited about finishing this room is due to the size. The room is 51 ft x 14 ft. That is one big room. I painted it in sections, that way I would not get burned out. Well, I got burned out anyway! The room has many functions. Charlie's office is the first dormer and then the pool table is across from the second dormer. We have not put anything in the second dormer, suggestions are welcome. Next is the kids computer area and the beginning of the scrapbook area. The third dormer is full of scrapbooking materials and the fourth is too. Across from the scrapbooking area is the the bookshelf with books, photos, albums, toys, magazines and some cardstock. Next and last is the tv area. We have two sofa beds, one orange and one blue. The cubbie on the wall had built in CD storage but we could not get any cds to fit, so I put a spray painted some twigs and put them in a vase and it fits into the the cd spot perfectly. The walls are blue to match the blue couch and the dormers are burnt orange to match the dormers. The old walls were baby poop brown, very dark and depressing. Now it is bright, filled with light and very calming. We all love it.
Sorry for all of the photos, just too many to choose from

The back of Charlie's desk, we put up a fabric covered bulletin board while he was away this weekend and surprised him.

The second dormer and scrap supplies.
The other side of the third dormer.
My cool new desk from IKEA. Notice my new wide format printer that my awesome husband bought me!
Bookshelf with paper and magazines.
Newly covered photo and memorabilia boxes, got the idea from the awesome new book "The Organized and Inspired Scrapbooker" by Wendy Smedley and Aby Garvey.
More boxes. The above mentioned book really helped me to organize this whole room. I still need to lable a few things and I am going to cover the front of my orange drawer units with patterned paper.
The view from the TV area
The end of Vinny's scrap table also from IKEA
More of my area. Charlie bought Vinny and I the "S" and the "V" (below). The colors were bright blue and yellow so I painted them to match the room.
Vinny's scrap area.

And last but not least, the two scrap tables side by side. I still need to get Vinny a chair and I have a few pictures to hang on the walls, other than that the room is done! Next on my agenda is the master bedroom. Photos in a week or so.
Have a great week!
