TRADTIONS PART 3

The holidays are over and we are well into 2008 and yes, I am just now posting about Christmas.  So shoot me.  I was kinda busy around the holidays and now I have some time to post.  So, moving on to Christmas Eve, even though it is January 4th. Last year, or Christmas Eve 2006, we decided that we needed to start a new family Christmas Eve tradition in addition to the two that we already had. Something new, since the other two have been passed down from my family.  So, we settled on making smores in our fireplace after dinner.  This year, we went to mass and came home, had dinner and one of the kids asked Charlie when he was going to start the fire in our fireplace for the smores.  He told them that we can't make smores in this fireplace because it is a gas fireplace.  The kids looked like they were all about to cry.  Vinny asked how would we make our traditional smores?  Charlie told her that we could make them outside in the fire-pit.  Oh yea, it is not freezing outside, we can do that here.  Problem solved.  I must say that it was a little nippy, so we did not stay out for very long. but it was fun. Here are a few photos..
