Made you look! Just kidding, Patrick is not engaged. He is wearing a tuxedo for his first Choir Concert in South Carolina. The Dorman choir and orchestra performed at Converse College on Tuesday night to a crowd of around 1000. I must say, that it was one of the best concerts I have ever heard. The orchestra was as good if not better than the Utah Symphony and the choir put the Choir School to shame.
So, you might be asking, who is the adorable young lady. Well, here name is Kaci, she is a senior at Dorman High and is Patrick's girlfriend. Yes, you heard me correctly, my son the sophmore is dating a senior. We absolutely adore her. She is bubbly, outgoing, smart, and is on the color guard in the Dorman Band. She twirls the rifles, swords and sometimes flags. Since she can drive, and Patrick cannot, and she is old enough to date, and Patrick is not, if they want to see each other outside of school, she must come over here. Here is a photo of the cute couple tonight after dinner.
Speaking of choirs, Mitchell was selected to participate in his district's Honor Choir. Our district which consists of about 8 elementary schools, selects students from each school to participate. The choir will have 125 members this year. They are chosen for their voice, attention, and participation in their regular music class. The choir will have numerous performances around town throughout the school year. Hopefully Mitchell's performances will not be on the same night as Patrick's. We are very proud of our newest singer.
